Very easy D.I.Y. ideas (10)

What has an icecream to do with a ball pen? Hah?
They gave me a crazy idea for a very easy D.I.Y. And it wasn't the icecream itself but the colorful sweet logs on the top of it and of course, the ball pen I was writing some notes with.

I'll make a bracelet and a necklace out of them!

Although you'll need some things you may not have, (like the hot glue gun), it's still very easy.

So, here are the things you'll need:

- Ball pens (like the ones you see in the picture)
- Sweet logs
- A hot glue gun
- A big needle
- Fishing wire
- A few beads
- Little bead stoppers (optional)
- Lobster clasps
- A kitchen knife

You start by cutting the ball pen in pieces with a kitchen knife (they don't have to be the same size). Believe me, it's very easy.

There is no need to ease the edges because they're going to be covered by the glue.
First you seal the one end of the little tubes with hot glue.

Wait for the glue to be cold.

Fill the tubes with sweet logs and seal the other end with the glue.

Leave them, so the glue to be cold again.

Then pass the fishing wire to the needle and start passing through first a bead, then a little tube from the pen, a bead, a piece of the pen and so on.

Keep everything in place with little bead stoppers (or making a knot if you don't have stoppers) and finish your bracelet or necklace with a lobster clasp.

Ready to wear!

I used only two pens, one for the bracelet and one for the necklace but you can use more for the necklace.

Next time you're about to throw away your finished ball pen, think it twice. Maybe you like to try my idea.

Have fun!
